# DECO Trust Badges
**Trust Badge**: Symbols or Icons display on website to **assure visitors of security, reliability, and credibility**, often used to increase customer confidence and improve conversion rates.

## How To Create A DECO's Trust Badge?
## STEP 1: Select A Trust Badge Type
* Hit the button: "Create trust badge" :
* Then, select 1 trust badge type to get started:
There are 3 types: **Icon**, **Payment** and **Countdown** trust badges.

The editor has **2 steps**: **Design** > **Placement**.
## STEP 2: **Customize Design**
The **Design** step has these sections:
* **Background:** Background color, or tick **Transparent background**
* **Content:** Heading text, its font, color and size. You can also **Add translations** here
* **Icon:** Select the icons, add the Icon title and a Link (Optional) for each icon, then choose the link option (open in a new tab or the same tab)
* **Arrangement:** Horizontal / Vertical and **Max icon per line** (Desktop / Mobile)
* **Other settings:** Add animation for trust badge, and **Alt text for SEO**
**NOTE**: For **Icon** trust badges, hit "Upload image" to upload your own design (any image file, up to 15 MB). **Payment** trust badges use "Add icon" to pick from the payment icon gallery.
P/s: If you need a customized icon, feel free to chat with us anytime!
* You can choose whether your trust badge icon uses **Default color** or **Black and white**
* Besides, you can custom **"Icon size",** "**Gap between icons**" & choose the alignment: "**Align both icon and icon title**" or "**Align icon**"

**Icon size**, **Gap between icons** and **Max icon per line** can be set **DIFFERENTLY** on **DESKTOP** and **MOBILE**. Color and alignment apply to both.

## STEP 3: Select Placement
* **Position:**
\+ **Default position**: automatically shows under the "Buy" button on product pages
\+ **Custom position (App block)**: add the trust badge to any position in your store, then choose where it shows in **Show on pages** (Product pages, Homepage, Collection pages, Specific pages). See the detailed instructions below.
* **Show on devices:** All devices, or a Specific device (Desktop / Mobile).
* **Customer country** and **Customer condition:** Choose which customers see the badge.
* **Schedule:** Set a start and end date to control the display period.

**Custom position (App block)**, **Specific device**, **Customer country**, **Customer condition** and **Schedule** are available from the **Growth** plan.

### How to display DECO's Trust Badge Anywhere?
Step 1: Select the position name for it in "Assign this trust badge as", for example, DECO Trust Badges 1 (8 slots are available: DECO Trust Badges 1 → 8).
Step 2: Click "Save" button to save the name first
Step 3: Hit the "Add block to theme" button to go to your theme, and add a DECO Trust badge block to your store.
Step 4: Once done, please click on the block, select the Position name that you have set up, as example, DECO Trust Badges 1.
Step 5: Move it to anywhere you want -> Check the preview
And don't forget to save your settings.

**NOTE:** To see the preview, please ensure that **the app embed has been turned on** & you **choose the correct name that you assigned** for the trust badge icon set in-app
